its been a while
obviously, by the title, I've missed quite a few months, and quite a few updates.
ummm. so sister is married, summer was hard, and I didn't work out near as often as I had hoped and planned to. from the wedding to the end of September I gain 8 lbs. it may not seem like that much, but it is obviously the opposite direction of what anyone who is losing weight is going for. so I decided that I was going to do a cleanse of sorts. a 'fast' if you will. to get myself refocussed and on the right path again. I cut out all sugar, and all bread. in 35 days of this I've lost 18lbs! also added in consistent excercise again! What a difference it all makes.
Hell yeah!
My total weight loss goal is 146lbs. I've lost 46 total this year, so far! hoping for 14 more gone by New Years Eve! and 20 gone by January 12! Which will mark one year of weightloss and healthgain! :)

stress eating
tonight a dear friend of mine passed away. my heart hurts incredibly.
typically when something like this happens I stress/comfort eat. I made a chocolate cake today for my little brother. there's a lot left.
now if this were 3 months ago, that cake would be gone. all in my belly and having ruined my workouts for the next 3 months.
I will not comfort eat.
I will not eat.
because if I do, I will not stop.
I love you Chris, I miss you so much.
hats off to an amazing man.

More progress!
I measure myself today and I am 17 inches skinnier than when I first met with the trainer in January! Today was also my 54th day in a row for at least 2 miles of cardio! I've also met with another trainer 4 times since my last post... hoping to get in with him again a few more time before Jenna's wedding!

Progress
I had a realization about 20 days ago. I have no excuses. I'm not "too busy" to get to the gym. I have 6 empty hours in a day so why not use 1 0r 2 of them at the gym. So this I have been doing. Tomorrow/today with be my 19th day in a row to work out.
It has been two and a half months since I met with the trainer and in that time I have lost 4 1/2 inches in my thighs, 3 inches in my waist, and 2 inches in my hips!
Yay progress! It's so much more motivational to see it!
Getting to the gym is getting easier and easier. praise the lord for that. I'm enjoying in more and more... its my own little quiet time, even if I run into people that I know! (which happens often)

Wow... here we go!
With the start of a New Year, and a newly engaged sister, I knew it was time to get my self in shape. Little did I know how much I would need to do to get to that desired shape.
I met up with a personal trainer this past Wednesday, and she shed some light on a lot of things that really struck me. Hard.
She put me on a scale and check my weight.
ew.
She measured my body fat.
double ew.
She told me how much of my body was lean muscle and how much was fat.
ew. ew. ew. ew. ew.
How could I let myself get to this point?!
I've started a journey of working out and eating right. Its interesting. I have had to be extremely intentional about what goes into my mouth, and how I work out.
All this to say, I'm starting my journey from fat... to Happy!
